Soho House Berlin

Soho House Berlin is a private members’ club with 40 bedrooms. Located in Berlin Mitte, the late-Bauhaus structure is a listed building with a distinct symmetrical façade and notable history.

Originally opened in 1928 as a department store, the property was seized by the wartime government before being occupied by the post-war, Communist regime until 1956. It was then used to house the Communist Party archives and the Central Committee’s Historical Institution. After German reunification the building was legally returned to the descendents of its original owners, but has remained derelict until now.

The club is Soho House Group’s largest to date with a Screening Room, private hire areas, Cowshed Active & Relax and will also feature a Cecconi’s restaurant at ground level, opening in Summer 2010.

The hotel’s 40 bedrooms are situated over 4 floors and come in five different categories. At 118 sqm the largest rooms include free standing baths, dining tables and seating areas. The smaller 24 sqm attic rooms have a dormitory feel with wooden beds and steel cabinets. Most of the bedrooms have a traditional vintage record player and selection of custom vinyl LP’s.
